I've Been Busy...

I promise I'm trying...

At the moment though I am sat in Starbucks trying to catch up online as we have no internet or phone for some reason!  BT are on the case, so hopefully this won't last long...

This weekend I've been verrry busy:

- sewing a dozen napkins of mix-and-match fabrics (a la Elsie of A Beautiful Mess)
- popping codeine like it's candy after I partially dislocated my shoulder last week
- offering my friend moral support as she moved house
- snacking on Itsu's new seaweed thins - yum!

An Excited Friday Farewell

Tonight our friends arrive from the States. They're only going to be with us a few days, then they go off on a cruise for the week before coming back to us next weekend as well!  What a treat!  I'm so excited.

Just in case you don't know me, I am obsessed with Etsy.  And I'm pretty sure I tend to have some skill when it comes to finding little treasures there.  These are my latest finds:

This calendar is awesome.  I think it's a great way to keep track of how you're months and weeks are going, but I can see it getting tiresome after a little while...

My sincerest apologies for my recent absence.  I've been very busy and am trying to figure out how to make room for this in my life - believe me, I want to!

We've had friends over a lot recently and even had a weekend visitor from Italy last week!  We've got some friends coming from the States over the next couple of weeks, so bear with me.

But most time-consuming of all is the newest addition to our little family: Nugget.  She is so teeny weeny and loves nothing more than chasing her tail and giving me Eskimo kisses.

There have been some hiccups involving fleas (I'm allergic) and tapeworms (yuck!), but Steve took her to the vet and got her sorted.  Apparently all of the nurses made sure they were around for the appointment when they heard it was for an 11-week-old kitten!  She gets a lot of love.

She is the cutest kitten in the world, don't you think?
